Philly Creative Guide Interview With Architectural Photographer Paul S. Bartholomew

I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Philly Creative Guide and was featured in February 2010. Here is the Philly Creative Guide link.

This was a nice way to share a little more about my background and thoughts. The bio on my website can only cover so much and I hope this attracts the local creative talent to my abilities in architectural photography.

Friends Center renovation in Center City Philadelphia. Renovated by UJMN Architects + Designers and photographed by architectural photographer Paul S Bartholomew.

I enjoy sharing great news and I’m pleased to announce that Friends Center located in Philadelphia’s Center City has beed awarded LEED platinum certification. UJMN Architects + Designers oversaw the Friends Center renovation and I was excited when they contacted me to photograph such an incredible project. The renovation took many years and I remember driving by the location several times and wondering if I would have the honor to photograph it.

I’d like to thank UJMN Architects + Designers for their trust in my abilities and for being such great clients, it’s always a pleasure. Congratulations on such a great achievement!

Architectural photography of a theater in an educational setting. Architectural photographer Paul S Bartholomew completed this project in New Jersey.

In an earlier post I showed an image from a theater project I was working on. I’m finally caught up and thought it would be neat to show off some of the other views. This is a great theater and since it’s a high school I’m even more impressed. Check out my website often because I’m always working on something new! Architectural & Interior Design Photography – www.psbphotography.com

Interior architectural photography of Kroon Hall at Yale.

Here is an interior photo I did of Kroon Hall at Yale University. I was hired by the window manufacturer and spent most of my time doing detail shots in certain areas. I couldn’t resist taking some photos for myself though and managed this shot. Wish I could have spent some quality time on more interior views like this but I had a mission to accomplish for other purposes. Very neat building!

Another view from a restaurant interior design project photographed by architectural photographer Paul S Bartholomew.

I get a lot of nice comments about this restaurant photo and I must admit that it’s one of my favorites. I recently updated my website and edited through more images from the same project. Whenever a great project comes along there are so many options for portfolio selections but I try not to pick too many. I thought I’d share a very different perspective of the restaurant. The first image is the primary chosen view for my portfolio.

Restaurant Interior Design Photography

The second image is fine but it doesn’t read as well as the primary view for my portfolio purposes. For the interior designers (Rose Authentica & Linda Daniels Design) this was an important view to document the interior beyond the archway and see the opposite perspective. This is a great place and it’s nice to see options. The interior designers did an incredible job and I thank them for the opportunity.

2009 was a productive year with some very nice photography projects.
